Position Overview

RecruitGo is seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our growing engineering team. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and improving mechanical components and systems using SolidWorks. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative, manufacturable, and cost-effective design solutions from concept through production.

Responsibilities: 

• Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and systems using SolidWorks

• Produce accurate 3D models, 2D drawings, and technical documentation

• Perform design calculations, tolerance analysis, and material selection

• Support prototype development, testing, and design validation

• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure designs are manufacturable and meet specifications

• Participate in design reviews and implement feedback and revisions

• Maintain engineering documentation and revision control

• Support continuous improvement initiatives and cost-reduction efforts
  
  
  Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer or in a similar role

  • Strong proficiency in SolidWorks (parts, assemblies, and drawings)

  • Solid understanding of GD&T, mechanical tolerances, and manufacturing processes

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills

  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

  Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with PDM systems and revision control

  • Familiarity with FEA, simulations, or motion studies in SolidWorks

  • Experience in industries such as manufacturing, automation, aerospace, or medical devices

  • Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations
