Position Overview
RecruitGo is seeking a Mandarin-speaking Public Affairs/External Relations professional who can support government and community liaison, PR communications, CSR activities, and basic crisis handling, while serving as a communication bridge between Chinese management and local stakeholders in the Philippines.
Responsibilities
1. Government & Community Relations
·Assist the Chinese Business Manager in establishing and maintaining good relationships with government agencies at various levels, community leaders, and NGOs.
· Participate in government meetings, community forums, etc.; handle liaison, on-site interpretation, and follow-up work.
·Collect and organize local policies, regulations, administrative procedures, and public sentiment; assist in preparing risk alerts.
2. Crisis PR & Emergency Response
·Under guidance, participate in developing crisis PR plans and assist in handling community disputes, environmental complaints, labor conflicts, and other emergencies.
·Assist in information dissemination, internal/external coordination, and basic external communication during crises.
·Learn and assist in drafting external statements, appeasing stakeholders, and other crisis response tasks.
3. Media & External Communications
·Assist in establishing and maintaining a contact list of local media (mainstream media, industry media, social media influencers).
·Under guidance, draft, translate, and publish press releases, corporate statements, and other information in English/Tagalog.
·Assist in monitoring corporate sentiment on Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, and other platforms; participate in basic response to comments.
4. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) & Brand Image
·Participate in planning and implementing CSR activities that meet community needs, helping to enhance the company’s local reputation.
·Assist in localizing promotional materials through translation and adaptation, conveying corporate values and project benefits.
5. Cross-Cultural Internal Support
·Provide daily interpretation and cross-cultural communication tips to the Chinese expatriate team, helping to resolve misunderstandings caused by cultural differences.
·When Chinese staff interact with local employees, residents, or officials, proactively remind of etiquette and cultural taboos.
Qualifications
1. Basic Conditions
·Filipino citizen or holder of Philippine permanent residency, with legal work authorization.
·Bachelor’s degree or above in Public Relations, Communications, Political Science, Law, Administration, Human Resources, Marketing, English, Tagalog, or related fields preferred.
2. Experience & Abilities
·Possess 1-3 years of relevant work experience; candidates with experience in government communication are preferred.
·Basic understanding of government communication, community liaison, or event organization, willing to learn quickly under guidance.
Any exposure or contact with NGCP, DOLE, or the police is an advantage.
3. Professional Skills
·Language: Proficient in English and Tagalog (excellent reading/writing and oral communication); able to conduct basic work communication and translation in Mandarin Chinese.
·Writing Skills: Basic writing ability for press releases, official letters, briefings, etc.; experience in social media content creation is a plus.
·Social Media Literacy: Familiar with major Philippine social media platforms (Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, etc.), able to assist in sentiment monitoring and simple copywriting.
·Driving: Valid Philippine driver’s license and ability to drive are a plus.
4. Personal Attributes
·Calm yet cheerful personality, proactive communication skills and cross-cultural empathy, willing to serve as a “bridge” between Chinese and local communities.
·High professional ethics, strict confidentiality, flexible yet principled.
·Able to handle urgent matters outside regular hours (e.g., late-night crisis communication or weekend community activity support).
·Language requirement: Mandarin Chinese proficiency is mandatory.

Salary Range: Willing to offer above-market compensation for candidates with fluent Chinese and strong experience
Work Setup: Onsite at Bugallon, Pangasinan, Philippines
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Philippine time
